Olean-10
Olean-10 was created to provide universal access to Pre-hospital advanced life support services to all people in the Greater Olean Area.
Olean-10 is a four-wheel drive intercept vehicle which is equipped with state-of-the-art EMS tools and devices staffed with experienced Paramedics and Critical Care Technicians. Upon interface with the requesting ambulance, they begin definitive treatment in the field via standing orders (protocols) or through direct consultation with the ER Physician.
Ambulance Services
Trans Am Ambulance Services, Inc. is a NYSDOH Certified Ambulance Service authorized to provide service throughout Cattaraugus County and neighboring communities.
The Ambulance Fleet
The Ambulance fleet consists of nine ALS ambulances stationed at our headquarters at 305 North 8th Street, Olean, New York. Trans Am is staffed with EMTs, Advanced EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses providing emergency and non-emergency transport and standby services.
Wheelchair Van Service
Trans Am is NYSDOT authorized to provide wheelchair services in Erie, Wyoming, Allegany and Cattaraugus Counties.
The Fleet
Consists of five DOT inspected wheelchair vans that are clean and well maintained at all times. All vans are equipped with mobile radios and cell phones to communicate with the base and ambulances should the need arise.
The Staff
Our uniformed 19-A Certified drivers have training in patient handling techniques. The staff strives to be polite, professional, courteous and prompt.
Medicab Service
Trans Am maintains a car that is also equipped with radios and cell phones. These are available to help transport people to doctor appointments and other related services. They are also staffed with 19-A certified drivers.
Planning and Coordination of Aeromedical
Trans Am does not provide aeromedical service; however we are partners with several local, regional and international carriers. This type of service requires careful planning and coordination due to the logistical demands of air travel.
